About MG Pride

Several years ago my husband Frank and I were approached in a parking lot by Sarah, the parent of a child with whom one of our kids went to grammar school in the early 2000s. To our surprise, she wanted to thank us.

Sarah told us that we had a profound impact on her views of LGBTQ+ people raising children openly in the community. Her son had recently come out and, because of our example, she was prepared emotionally, knowing that her son would have the same opportunities to find love, family, friendship, and acceptance that everyone else has.

Frank and I talked on our drive home about how completely unaware we were of the impact we had on others by simply being ourselves. Living out and proud. Doing what we wanted and not what we thought society expected of us.

Our conversation with Sarah reminded us of how vital it is for every person to live their truth.

Making Good on Promises

Fast forward to 2021. Frank and I were working from home during COVID quarantine and, like so many others, found ourselves assessing life, work, and passions.

One morning we were reflecting on the conversation with Sarah and decided to pursue a path that would fuel our creativity and help LGBTQ+ people celebrate their identity and individuality. MG Pride was born that day. We wanted to make good on the promises we made to each other and to our community.

Making Goods

MG Pride aspires to offer high-quality, personal goods for LGBTQ+ people, our friends, and family who wish to display their pride all year long.

So, what does MG stand for?

Many good things.

Making goods for good people, making good impressions, making good on promises, making good communities, making good friends.

We are just getting started and, for now, we have a small selection. We will be expanding our offering with new accessories and home decor. Please send us your thoughts and ideas to help us design and create a product line that will evolve based on your input.

Thank you for making good by supporting our small businesses!
